Cousin Bob loved fishing. It seems every time we visited we went fishing. Even at the reunion on Lake Wing foot years later Bob and a few others may have fished. The reunions also featured a fun trip for anyone who wanted to go and view deer. Awesome they were in the Akron area.
One picture in the video brought to mind a vivid memory. Bob was standing at the door of Joe's white Chrysler as part of a reunion caravan on a 'deer hunt'. around 2002
At one reunion two cousins had been confused about this 'deer hunt' as many enthusiastically moved to hit the road on a deer hunt. One host explained ,"
"They are not going to shoot them, they are only going to look at them."
I loved those deer hunts and they will not be the same without Bobby pointing when one came into sight.
I will miss you, cuz, so much. GO with GOD's Grace into Eternal Life. See ya in the morning.
love Shirley Jane

I am sorry I cannot make it there personally due to my disc issues. My heart and prayers are with you. My fondest memory is hysterical. Bob was waxing poetic about politics, life, and social injustices of the world. A sight entertaining all by itself. He commented about personal problems and said, "Listen, if you put your problems on a piece of paper, crumple it up, and all your friends did the same with the understanding that you were gonna "trade problems"...You better hope to God that you pull out your own issues 'cuz there ain't no way anyone else's mess is gonna be any better than the one you're already in!" Words to live by spoken from "The Book of Pap!" It makes me laugh every time I think about it. So true. He had a way of simplifying the complicated and complicating the simple that made you smile every time!!! He was an amazing man. Glad to have had the privilege of knowing him. I'm sooooo thrilled he got a chance to marvel at the splendor of Mt. Hood and the Pacific Northwest recently. It was great watching him light up like a little kid. He glowed when he laughed and everyone else was effected by it. We will miss you Bob. I know you will be watching from that 'Great Cloud of Witnesses' giving us (and the heavenly host too-, LOL!) direction on what "Pap knows best" for his family. Sandra, I can't imagine what you are feeling right now. I have many words Im thinking but nothing comes out that seems fitting. If I could, I'd just sit beside you, hold your hand, give you a big hug, and offer just "being there" for you. My heart goes out to you- I'm praying. Love you all.
