Waylon Kofi Sr. Obituary

Waylon Kofi, Sr, son of Kapton Kofi, and the late Jacqueline
Boateng was born January 22, 1979 in Ghana, West Africa where he
was raised until 1996 before relocating to America. He was
currently residing in Loganville, GA.

A Time to Live
Waylon was educated at State Experimental School and Prempeh
College in Ghana until relocating to America, graduating from
Lithia Springs High School 1997 in Georgia. He entered the United
States Marine Corps in March of 1998. Serving overseas in Kuwait,
Iraq, Afghanistan, and Iwakuni, Japan. While upholding his duties
as a Marine, Waylon obtained his Masters Degree in HR and
Marketing at Trident University. During his time as a Marine he
received many awards, medals, ribbons, badges, and held a black
belt in mixed martial arts. He retired after serving 20 years proudly
in the United States Marine Corps at the rank of Gunnery Sergeant.
After his retirement he took a government contract job in
Afghanistan for one year. Waylon with his vibrant outgoing
personality could not keep still and later began working with NCR
Software Corporation in HR. Waylon always had a helping hand
and big heart, and was always a giver to family, friends, or a
stranger. His love for his family was precious to him, after his time
in the military he never missed a birthday, graduation or any
special family gathering. He had a love for traveling, making
money, playing poker, dancing, music, especially the music of Rick
Ross, and Daddy Lumba, that would get him going! As a young
boy, Waylon always dreamed of being a successful man and he was
just that.
