Shirley Ann (Merse) Russell

Shirley Ann Russell (Merse) age 85 of Dacula, Georgia passed away Tuesday April 11, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents James L. & Mary Alice Quinnelly and her brother Leonard Quinnelly. She was the most caring, loving, selfless person you will ever meet. She adored her husband of 62 years. She never met a stranger and loved children to the utmost. She was an avid sports enthusiast and loved attending all her grandkids events. She lived life to the fullest and was always ready to go on to the next adventure, whether to the casino, Santa Anita Racetrack, Navarre Beach, or Vegas! She always thought outside the box and hated anything that was traditional. Her request was to have her ashes released off the Seablaster in Destin, Florida. We will always think of her when we look up into the sky and see the moon and will live by her "motto:" "Love many, trust few and always paddle your own canoe" She is survived by her husband Richard Russell of Dacula, Georgia, daughters Lori Harmon of Loganville, Georgia, Darci Anderson of Dacula, Georgia, Wendy Russell of Port St. Joe, Florida, grandchildren Ryan Anderson, Brittany Sorrell & Brent Cohran, Bailey & Zach Simmons, Devin & Austin Herod, Tatum & Ethan Jackson, Kelci & Zack Fleischman, Jack Keel, great grandchildren Brody, Cheyenne, Blakely, Brinkley, Beau, Brooks, Rylan, Cruz, and Cayson, brothers Richard Quinnelly of Sarasota, Florida, Kenneth Quinnelly of Naples, Florida.
