Ronald Francis O'Connor

Ronald Francis O’Connor, Ron, 61, of Grayson, GA passed away surrounded by loved ones at his home on Saturday, November 11, 2023, after a long battle with alcoholic cirrhosis. Born on February 15, 1962, in Syracuse, NY to Col. Fredrick Vincent O’Connor and Frances Peak O’Connor. As one of nine children,
Ron grew up in Hendersonville, NC where he graduated from T.C. Robinson High School. He attended college in Tennessee. After college, he moved to Atlanta, GA. He was the owner of the former South Beach Tanning in Loganville, GA. Throughout his lifetime, he enjoyed traveling, interior design, skeet shooting, snow skiing and horse shows. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lilburn, GA where he served as an Usher.
Ron is survived by his life partner and husband of 33 years, Dr. Raymond S. Caughman, Jr. (Grayson, GA), sisters Casey O’Connor of Atlanta, GA and Cathy (Matt) Harris of Greer, SC, brothers Fred (Mary) O’Connor of Dana Point, CA, Shawn (Laure) O’Connor of Aiken, SC, and Gerry O’Connor of Flowery Branch, GA, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his family dog Midnight. Predeceased by his parents, his sisters Ann O’Connor and Mikie Scarborough, and brother Jim O’Connor.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 2 nd , 2023, at 2:30pm at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1826 Killian Hill Road, Lilburn GA 30047. He will be inurned following the service at Trinity Lutheran Church Columbarium with a reception to follow.
