Ron Axnick passed away on May 15, 2021, after a brief illness. Ron was born on August 3, 1963 and adopted by Norman and Carol Axnick. He was raised in Decatur and was a graduate of Shamrock High School, and also attended University of Georgia. Ron was passionate about many things: being a devoted husband and father, cooking gourmet meals, and spending time on Tybee Island with the family. He also loved anything with an engine, especially classic muscle cars and motorcycles. Additionally, Ron had a special affinity for all animals and owned multiple dogs and cats over the years. He also loved bird watching, and made sure to have multiple feeders throughout the backyard, each with a different kind of seed to attract a wide variety of songbirds. Ron also was kind and generous to a fault. If you were Ron’s friend, you had a friend for life, no matter what. Ron is survived by his wife of 29 years, Tracey Tutterow Axnick, son Jordan Axnick, daughter Shelbie Axnick, aunt Pam Limehouse, cousin Kelly Limehouse and uncle Don Phillipp, (and last but not least, his devoted dog Flowerbud). A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, June 19th at 2 PM, at 12 Stone Church - Buford Campus 2565 Buford Hwy NE Buford, GA 30518 followed by a reception. Ron's final resting place will be at Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah, GA.
