The family of Patricia Garner Henderson mourn her passing on April 22, 2024.
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Her life was defined by her love and devotion to her family. People will always remember her for her kind heart and selfless generosity. She lived by example and provided a great role model for her family to love unconditionally, treat others with respect, and to always do the right thing. Her legacy will live forever in the hearts of all who were blessed to have known and loved her. We will miss her immensely but are comforted by the fact she is with our Heavenly Father.
Patricia was born in Stone Mountain, GA on April 14, 1941, to Oliver Dixie Garner and Catherine (Bissett) Garner Payne. Her life became more exciting when she was surprised with not one but two sons, twins, Arthur Craig Henderson (Jennifer Warren) and Anthony Greg Henderson. Later, she was blessed with her first grandchild, Austin Leland (Julianne) Henderson, with whom she had many fond memories. Five other grandchildren followed, Deanna Marie Esguerra, Madyson Helene Henderson, Campbell Joseph (C.J.) Henderson, William Arthur Henderson II, and Harper Grace Henderson. Each of her grandchildren held a special place in her heart. Recently, she was blessed with a great-grandson, Leland Nash Henderson. Patricia is also survived by her brothers James Carl Garner and Connie Mack Garner (Patsy); sister-in-law Phyllis Garner; several nieces and nephews; and best friend of over 60 years, Charlene Phillips.
