Pamela Buckland

Pamela Elaine Gibson Buckland, 66, of Huntington, WV, passed away after a valiant battle with cancer on February 9th, 2019 in Lawrenceville, GA. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 23rd, 2019 at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Peachtree Corners, GA with Pastor Terri Stagner Collier officiating. Byrd & Flanigan Crematory and Funeral Service will perform the cremation. Pamela Buckland was born to Wallace “Brownie” Gibson and Reba Charles on March 25th, 1952.  She married Robert W. Buckland on July 6th, 1975 in Huntington, WV.  She graduated from Marshall University, and went on to enjoy a career as a first-class educator with Gwinnett County Public Schools for 24 years. She volunteered her time working concessions at basketball games, robotics club competitions, Relay for Life walks, among others. Pamela Buckland is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Michaele Simpkins. Pamela Buckland is survived by children Meaghan Buckland, Neal Buckland, Whitney Buckland, granddaughter Olivia Verderosa, former spouse Bob Buckland and “sister-wife” Teresa Buckland, stepmother Hazel Goodwin.
