Nancy M. Purland

Nancy (Kinan) Purland age 89 passed away but not without a valiant fight to the end at the home of her daughter and son in law's home in Monroe, GA on April 16 2023 with the loving help of Bridgeway Hospice.

Widowed for 23 years of John Robert Purland. Incredibly loving Mother to Jacqueline Purland Alexander and husband William Alexander, John Purland and predeceased by daughter Nancy D. Reynolds.

Most devoted Nana to only grandson Keith M. Reynolds and wife Michele.

Sister to Edmund Kinan of Plymouth, MA, Norman Kinan and wife Irene of Brockton, MA, Marlene Petrakis of New Hampshire, Douglas and wife Jana of Boston, MA,  John and William of Attleboro MA.

She was predeceased by siblings Bobby, Phillip, Albert and Joseph Kinan

She leaves behind many nieces and nephews and dear friend Davia Rowe of Loganville, GA.

Born and raised in Boston in 1934, Nancy and John moved to Quincy MA to raise a family of their own.

She was very proud of being and Executive Secretary to the president of Mass Financial was first established in Boston. Then worked as a Pharmacy Tech until the age of 80 years old.

She took great pride in her family and enjoyed many trips with her grandson Keith as he was growing up.

Nancy was an amazing cook and loved to bake especially in her later years making many different kinds of muffins for everyone. Her specialty was Cranberry Walnut, she had just perfected it this past holiday. She was kind, generous and witty. Loved watching movies and her passion was listening to her favorite music on You Tube.

At the age of 81 she followed her daughter Jacqui to Georgia and lived with her and her husband for 5 years then spread her wings and moved to a nearby Senior Community where she thrived.

Later in life she developed a deep love of animals and had a dedicated group of chipmunks, squirrels and birds who she fed religiously each morning. She was so devoted to her family and loved meeting new people. Nancy miraculously battled many illnesses in her last years but you would never know that. She had always won those battles because she had a strong constitution, was head strong, stubborn and determined which kept her going.

She celebrated her 89th Birthday with her most favorite annual Bake Stuffed Lobster. She was simply incredible to the end. Her only regret is not being here to vote in the next election. During her final battle we would recite Romans 8:28 If God is for us who can be against us ?

Rest in Peace Mother, you will never be forgotten and I will miss you until my last breathe. Thank You
