Martha Lou Watson

Martha Lou Watson (76) of Lawrenceville, GA passed away on Sunday March 3, 2024. Martha was born on August 3, 1947 to the late Mr. Will Watson Sr. and Pecola Cain Watson. A native of Gwinnett County, Martha attended Hooper Renwick up to the eighth grade. Martha then became a homemaker and caregiver. She accepeted christ in her life at a young age and attended Broughton Tabernacle and later attended Dominion City Lawrenceville. Martha was a very proud member of the usher board.  She spent her years lovingly caring for her children, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and so many more. Martha was always open and willing to help those in need, sharing the gift of love and family with anyone who was blessed to meet her.

She is proceeded in death by brother Will Watson Jr., sister Linda Watson, nephew Rafeal Watson, niece Natajasia Yarbough, and nephew Rafeal Long. 

She is survived by two loving daughters, Liza Watson and Chikinia Jackson (Jason Jackson) of Lawrenceville, GA, three sisters, Georgia Mae Norman of Lawrenceville, GA, Virginia Smith of Winder, GA, and Joan Hayes (Alloy Hayes Jr.) of Lawrenceville, GA, three grandchildren, Javeion, Jason Jr., and Jordan Jackson all of Lawrenceville, GA, and two greatgrandchildren, Ki’Mora Jackson and Luxury Mutcherson, and a host of nieces and nephews. 

Our beloved Sis will be truly missed. We will cherish her wisdom, joy for life, loving spirit, and her legacy.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 pm on Tuesday March 12, 2024 from the chapel of Byrd and Flanigan Funeral Home with Dr. Joeann Malone officiating. A Wake service will be held on Monday March 11, 2024 from 12:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Arrangements by Byrd and Flanigan Crematory & Funeral Service, Lawrenceville. 770-962-2200
