Lydia Ann Montgomery was born in Chicago, Illinois on September 12, 1955 to James Leon Montgomery Sr and Marguerite Ernestine Montgomery. She grew up on block 9 of Altgeld Gardens. She attended Carver Middle and Highschool. She graduated as a Certified Nurse Assistant from Truman College. She was the second youngest of seven siblings. She is survived by three sisters: Janet H. Liggions, Barbara J. Montgomery, and Ellanoyes Calloway; and one sister-in-law: Phyllis Montgomery. Lydia had four sons: Ervin Gardner Jr, Jabari Montgomery, Michael Simms, and Jesus Love Phillip Montgomery; and two daughters in laws: Monica Montgomery and Ronja Simms. Her linage continues through four grandchildren: Jaylen Montgomery, Malina Marie Lydia Montgomery, Justus Montgomery, and Da’quane Adams. She deeply loved all her nieces and nephews: Rhonda Kenneth Donnie Jamie Barbara William Babs Janiece Tonya William Peep Jerome Big Janiece Bennie Tyrone Margurite Carl James Prince Lasonya. She is also survived by a host of Great Nieces and Nephews, Cousins and Friends.
