On January 22, 2023, Mr. Jose Claudio passed away peacefully in his home. He was born in Puerto Rico where he met his wife, Maria Claudio (Merced). They relocated to New Haven, CT in 1978 with their children. He worked as a mason and construction worker in Puerto Rico. He worked as a machinist for Stanley Bostitch (Clinton, CT) for 25 yrs. Mr. Claudio relocated to GA in 2022 where he resided with his wife, youngest daughter, and granddaughters.
He dedicated over 40 yrs to the rooms of AA where he helped many reach and maintain their sobriety. He was a man of great faith and love of God. Mr. Claudio was an avid reader and sports fanatic. He loved playing softball during his prime years in Puerto Rico. He had a great sense of humor. He was a man with of his word. He had peace, and patience that surpassed all understanding. He loved spending time with his grandkids.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle to his adoring family. He was the patriarch of the family. His legacy will continue through his children, Madeline Vargas (Carlos Vargas), Jose Luis Claudio, Edgar Jose Claudio (Cynthia Claudio), and Damaris Claudio, 14 grandchildren, 13, great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. His memory will be cherished by his extended family and friends across the globe.
