Jack Michael Miller, age 78 of Dacula, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 12, 2023. Mike was born in Columbus, Georgia and attended Jordan Vocational High School (Class of ‘62) and later, briefly attended Columbus College before deciding to lead a life of service which began in the U.S. Air Force where he served as a Aircraft Structural Repairer from 1963 to 1967. Later, he would serve in various General and Area Managerial positions within the Restaurant Management Career Field. He was recognized as a manager with exceptional operational expertise and was routinely hand-selected to lead troubled stores and rapidly turn these stores into profitable restaurants, while isolating problem areas.
Mike was an extraordinary family man and father, a devoted husband, and a loyal friend who always had a cheerful smile and never met a stranger. He loved his family fiercely and was the source of strength, encouragement, and unconditional love for his family and friends. He will always be remembered as a genuinely authentic, compassionate, and caring man.
Mike is survived by his wife Suzan, who was the absolute love of his life and they celebrated 56 wonderful years together. He is also survived by his son, Chris Miller of Dacula, Georgia and his daughter, Shannon Miller (Colonel, Retired, U.S. Army), who lives in San Antonio, Texas.
A Memorial Service with Veteran honors will be held in the Chapel of Byrd and Flanigan Funeral Service, Lawrenceville, Georgia at 11 am on Saturday, June 17, 2023. A small reception will immediately follow.
