Florine (Bruce) Wages

Wages - Mrs. Florine Bruce Wages, age 92, of  Auburn, GA, passed into the presence of her  Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 29, 2022 at  Golden Manor Senior Living, Buford, GA. 
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday June 4, 2022 from the chapel of Byrd and Flanigan Funeral Home 288 Hurricane Shoals Rd. NE Lawrenceville, GA 30046. Reverend Gene Purvis will officiate. The family will receive  friends following the memorial service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Wages was preceded in death by her  husband of 65 years, James Royce Wages, Sr.,  Auburn, as well as her parents Carl Tucker Bruce  and Vennie Irene Kerby Bruce.  

Florine was a Lawrenceville native who attended  Bethesda High School. She was a founding  member of Grace Bible Church in Lawrenceville,  GA, as well as a bookkeeper for many years for  Thompson-Boland-Lee Shoes on Peachtree Street, Atlanta, and for Rubin Construction.
   
She later became a realtor for Coldwell Banker,  earning a place in the Million Dollar Club in her first year.  She was an excellent cook and was a  hostess to many.  Spending time with her  grandchildren and serving others brought much  joy to her life. 

She is survived by her son & daughter-in-law:  James Royce & Fay Wages, Jr., Cumming; daughter & son-in-law: Terese &  Art Denney, North Augusta, SC; grandchildren:  Heath Wages,Braselton; Brian & Ashton Wages,  Carnesville; Laura Pallone, Cumming; Michael  &  Avonlea Denney, Charleston, SC; and Sarah  Denney, Charlotte, NC; great grandchildren:  Hayden Wages, Mila Wages, Charlotte Wages,  Nora Claire Wages, Bella Pallone, Adriana  Pallone, and Shifrah Denney. Survivors also  include sister Blondine Cooper and her husband  Charles, as well as sister Myrtice Louise Cohen  Arnold.

She is also predeceased by siblings Lorine Britt,  Geraldine Strickland, Bernice Rayborn, Carlton  “Gene” Bruce, “Doug” Marion Bruce, Nancy Ann Wilder Cadwell, and Martha Lou Wood.
