Douglas Pat Justice, age 77 of Dacula, GA, died peacefully in hospice care on Friday, February 12, 2021 after a long illness and hospitalization at Northside Gwinnett.
Douglas was a veteran of the United States Army and retired from General Motors after decades of service. The youngest of eight children, he was adored by his parents and siblings. An avid country music fan, he enjoyed watching country artists perform live. Douglas spent many mornings at his favorite Waffle House where he would cut up with the staff and other diners. He had an infectious laugh and warm smile and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Juanita Justice,sister Rochelle Sedgwick of Deltona, FL, stepson Danny Atha (Sandy Bowles), step-grandchildren: Patrick James Cook, Douglas Allen Atha, and Daniel James Atha; step-great-grandchildren:Brittany Nicole Cook, Ian James Cook, and Shawn Matthew Cook. Several nieces and nephews also survive him.
Douglas was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Mae Justice; brothers and sisters-in-law: Lester and Dot Justice, Herman and Jessie Justice, and Joe and Tense Justice; sisters and brothers-in-law: Muriel and Arlee Bowen, Edith and George Wagener, Edna Justice; and his niece Robin Hill Peterson and nephew Curtis Hill; and brother-in-law Bill Sedgwick.
During his illness, Douglas received considerable support from his family, especially from a special niece, Susan Justice.
