Donna Elizabeth Jean Rice

Donna Elizabeth Jean Rice, 60, Died Wednesday, August 2nd, 2023, in her home in Norcross, Georgia. 

She is survived by her siblings Grover Rice Jr., Lena Denise Rice, Kenneth James Rice Sr., William Earl Rice, Tena Yvonne Holland, Wendy Jean Rice and Tyrone Omar Rice, Aunt Ann Elizabeth Stanton, and her many, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, God Daughter, Family, and more.

Donna "Dee or Dee-Dee" was born in Helena, Alabama on September 3rd, 1962, and raised in New Castle, Pennsylvania. Dee is the Daughter of Grover Rice Sr. and Sandra Jean Pope Rice.

She graduated from New Castle High School and got her Associate Degree from Shenango Valley School of Business. After graduation, she was able to travel and live in Europe for several years. Returning stateside she was able to have a permanent career in the medical insurance industry. To continue her career, she moved to Atlanta, Georgia area, where she became a top manager in the medical insurance field at Parallon. She was loved and respected by those who had the pleasure to know her. 

Donna was the matriarch of the Rice family. Her house was the gathering place for family and friends to feel at home, always surrounded by loved ones singing and dancing as Dee loved to do as much. 

She was Preceded in death by her son Johnathan Rice; her parents, Grover and Sandra; her Nieces and Nephews, Anthony Rice, Tameka Rice, and Dakota Bigley 

Her Homegoing and Celebrating of Life will be held August 12th, 2023, at Blanchards Events Hall, 6080 Lawrenceville Hwy Tucker, Georgia 30084, Room #2 at, 1:30 - 4:00, immediately followed by the Family Party, which will include catered dinner.
