Deepak R. Bakshi, 47, of Atlanta, Georgia died March 24, 2018. He was born April 27, 1970 in New York, the son of Ramesh and Vijayalakshmi Bakshi. Growing up, he played soccer and raced BMX bikes. He attended Crestwood High School and graduated from The American School in Japan in 1988, where he played on the soccer team and played guitar for Battle of the Bands.
He graduated with a B.A in Sociology from the University of Georgia in 1994. He then received his M.B.A from Kennesaw State University in 1996. In 1996, he opened Chris Nicholson Salon and Spa with his long time friend. He has continued to be an entrepreneur with businesses such as 747 Imports, Fuseboard, and MODA Tequila.
Deepak was the ideal son, brother and friend. He cared for others before himself. He lived life to the fullest. He was an avid racecar and sports car enthusiast. He was an amazing and accomplished guitarist and loved to record music or strum for hours. He enjoyed watching movies, traveling, playing with his niece and nephew, and just hanging out with family.
He is survived by his parents, Ramesh and Vijaya of Johns Creek; his sister and brother-in-law, Dr. Pratima Bakshi and Dr. Ravi Joshi; his nephew and niece, Nikhil and Divya Joshi; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Byrd & FlaniganFuneral Home in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, from 2-4 pm.
