It is with great sadness that the family of Beverly Ann Ross Eidson, 84, of Lawrenceville, GA, announces her passing on May 9, 2018 after a long battle with MDS (Myelodysplastic Syndrome).
Ann, as she was known to friends and family, was born in Chico, Texas on October 21, 1933. She moved to Mississippi as a young child and always called her beloved Mississippi home. She moved to Lawrenceville, GA in 2011 to be close to family.
Ann graduated from Yazoo City High School and the University of Mississippi. She later received her Masters in Jackson, MS from the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
Ann was an educator, starting out as a teacher at Mississippi Delta Junior College (now Mississippi Delta Community College) in Moorhead, later rising to the position of Director of the School of Nursing. In 1977 she took a position as a professor at The University of Southern Mississippi School of Nursing, where she retired in 1995.
Ann loved the arts, reading, cooking, gardening and traveling. Her favorite pastime was going to dinner with family and friends. She loved her pug Sassy, who was a great companion. She focused on painting as a primary hobby. She was a member of the South Mississippi Art Association and The Mississippi Art Colony. She won numerous awards for her work including the Mississippi Watercolor Grand National Exhibition for her painting “Persimmons”.
Ann had a wonderful smile that made others feel special. She was a very loving and caring person to all who knew her.
Ann will be lovingly remembered by her son, Thomas Ross Eidson and his wife Tracey Ann Eidson , of Lawrenceville, GA.; Granddaughters, Tara Eidson of Atlanta, GA. and Meghan Purvis of Lawrenceville, GA.; Grandsons, Stephen Eidson of Decatur, GA. and James Davis of Tucker, GA. and Great-Granddaughter, Charlotte Davis of Tucker, GA. She was predeceased by her beloved parents, Owen Ross and Etta Ross of Yazoo City, MS.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 19, 2018 2:00 PM at Byrd and Flanigan Crematory and Funeral Service, 288 Hurricane Shoals Road NE, Lawrenceville, GA 30046.
