Betty (Geller) Martini, age 82, of Duluth, GA, died February 14th 2023, and is survived by her three children,
Daniel Joseph Morrison, Scott Thomas Morrison, and Sarah Morrison Decker. Sarah and husband Bob Decker have two children, Matthew and Sierra Decker.
Betty married Don Martini in 1979. They were married for 42 years. Don Martini died October 3rd 2021.
Don is survived by two sons, Randal Vincent Martini (Valerie) and Valan Ross Martini (Theresa). There are five grandchildren by Randal Vincent and Valerie: Brittany Charvet , Jordan (Katrina), Paris Martini,
Carley Martini, and Mia Martini. Four great-grandchildren are Heloise and Timothy Charvet and Ronan and Zoe Martini. Betty had three siblings, Michael Geller, David Geller and Bob Geller (deceased)
In 1970 Betty established a model for the nation by creating Physicians on Call, a network of five Emergency Care clinics in Atlanta, Georgia, staffed with medical doctors 7 days/24 hours. Services were without cost to the indigent. With a deep interest in traumatology, she worked to build a trauma center in
her mother's name, Eve Geller, who lost her life to breast cancer, but this did not materialize. She ran for Mayor of Atlanta in 1973.
Betty Martini had a great interest in medical research and the consumer's right to know. She was the founder of the worldwide volunteer force, Mission Possible World Health International. She spoke on nationwide radio programs and traveled worldwide to educate consumers on artificial sweeteners and other health topics.
A memorial and celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, February 25th at 2:00 PM. at the Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall in Johns Creek – 11235 Bell Road Johns Creek GA 30097
The Funeral Service will be on Saturday, February 25 at 4:oo PM at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens, 5979 Bethany Rd, Buford, GA 30518
