In Loving Memory of Barbara Ann Roggow
May 16, 1942 - September 12, 2023
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Barbara Ann Roggow, who departed
this world on September 12, 2023. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and devotion that will forever
be etched in our hearts.
Barbara was born on May 16, 1942, in Buffalo, NY, where she spent her early years surrounded by a loving family,
Robert and Dorothy Benson and their “Benson girls” Barbara, Bobb ie, Martay, and Carolyn. Her life journey was
marked by selflessness, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to her family. She was the epitome of
maternal love and care, dedicating her life to nurturing and guiding her children.
Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her family, as Barbara was a pillar of support within her community. She
volunteered tirelessly, offering her time and wisdom to those in need. Her warm smile and kind words brought
comfort to many, and her generosity knew no bounds.
Barbara had a deep love for nature and the outdoors, and she instilled this appreciation in her children and
grandchildren. Countless hours were spent exploring parks, hiking trails, playing in the dirt, or just simply
taking it all in from the porch, and enjoying the simple beauty of the world around us.
Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her surviving family members:
- Her devoted children, Sara, Adam, Peter, & Jonathan
- Cherished grandchildren, Jason Lasher, Nicholas Braun, Eric Roggow, Kyle Roggow, Taryn Purvis, Madelyn
Roggow, & Olivia Roggow
- Great grandchildren, Olivia Lasher, Lydia Roggow
- Beloved siblings, Martay, & Carolyn
- And all of her Nieces and Nephews she so lovingly adored.
Barbara has now reunited with her departed loved ones, finding peace in the embrace of eternity. As we mourn
her loss, let us also celebrate the incredible life she lived and the love she shared. Her legacy of love and
compassion will continue to inspire us all.
A celebration of life will be held on a date and location yet to be determined, where family and friends can come
together to pay their respects and share cherished memories of Barbara. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly
requests donations to NPR https://www.npr.org/donations./support, a service that Barbara held dear to her
heart.
Barbara may be physically absent, but her spirit lives on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing
her. She will forever be our guiding light, our source of strength, and our beloved mother.
Rest in pe a c e, dear Mom, knowing that your love will always surround us, and your memory will be cherished for
generations to come.
