Amanda Michele Mobley passed away at her home on Wednesday, July 22, 2020, at the young age of 46. Michele was born April 12 and grew up in Tucker, GA surrounded by a large extended family. She often spent time, along with her sister, at their paternal grandparents’ farm in Spence, GA. Michele raised two beautiful children, daughter, Jordan and son, Jackson and was recently blessed with a grand-daughter, Janiya Mae, Jordan’s daughter. Michele had a heart for children and was the fourth generation of our family to care for and love the babies of First Baptist Church Tucker. She had a soft spot, like her mother Babs, for all animals, rescuing and/or raising an uncountable number of dogs, cats, and multiple other species during her lifetime. She loved to spend time with her dogs Cheddar and Jolene, watching the deer, chipmunks and other wildlife that frequented her yard. She suffered with (and fought against) Multiple Sclerosis for many years, bravely persevering through each day. She will be missed by those she left behind.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Jack and Carolyn Fortenberry, Dave and Bernice Mobley, her father, Terry Mobley and her uncle, Bill Fortenberry. She is survived by her children, Jordan and Jackson Mobley; granddaughter, Janiya Dubois; mother, Babs Fortenberry; sister, Alisa Clark; niece, Carly Clark; nephews, Caleb, Brandon and Bridger Clark; her fiancé, Brian McDaniel; her step-mother Debby Mobley; step-siblings; Jade, Julian and Kelly, her aunts, Becky and Pam and uncles, Ben and Barry; also cousins and many other extended family members by blood and by heart.
A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be held on August 1, 2020, at 10:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Tucker, 5073 LaVista Rd, Tucker, GA.
