Willis Daniel Simpson "Danny"
September 16, 1956 – November 16, 2024
Danny loved the Lord and was honored to serve as a Deacon at Calvary Praise Center in Snellville, Georgia. He managed the technical aspects in the sound room for the church services. He was always keeping the members laughing with his quick wit and humor. His strong faith in God and accepting Christ as his Lord and Savior has secured his name in the Lambs Book of Life along with a Crown of Glory at the feet of Jesus.
Danny spent his career working as a Master Craftsman on large commercial projects hanging artist murals, industrial wallpapers, and enhancing the visual interiors of public buildings. He worked over 30 years as a Union Worker and worked for Johnson Controls and Lanier-Jones in the metro Atlanta area. Some of the large-scale projects he worked on were at the Atlanta Airport, Emory Hospital and Georgia Power.
Danny loved his family and cherished his wife, Debbie, for their 44 years of marriage. His two sons were his pride and joy: Travis & Todd. His spent time teaching them how to fish, hunt, camp, and drive the boat. He loved spending time in nature and especially loved the water, no matter if it was the lake, pool, or ocean, he enjoyed them all. However, Danny found a new love that was unimaginable when his granddaughter, Holly Anne Simpson was born. Holly had her Pa Pa wrapped around her little finger. Danny and Holly enjoyed playing games, racing bike/scooter, swimming, and watching Disney movies together.
Danny was proceeded in death by his parents, Willis and Nellie M. Wallace Simpson of Decatur, GA; his brother, Donald Leon Simpson of McCaysville, GA; and brother-in-law Ronnie Massey of Covington, GA; and his father-in-law Elmer S. Cole of Snellville, GA. He is survived by his loving wife, Deborah I. Simpson "Debbie"; two sons': Travis R. Simpson of Grayson, GA, and Todd R.
