William Harold "W. H." Britt, age 87, of Loganville, Georgia, passed away on September 19, 2025.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years: Paulette Bulloch Britt; sons and daughter's- in-law: Stacey & Melanie Britt, Watkinsville, GA; Darron & Angie Britt, Bogart, GA and daughter De Anna Britt Williams, Loganville, GA. W. H. was blessed with six grandchildren: Abraham Britt (Riley), Fallin Britt Frix (Trent), Patrick Britt, Garrison Britt, Macy Williams Johnson (Dean), and Esther Williams. He also delighted in his six great-grandchildren, with a seventh on the way. He is survived by his sister, Joyce Britt Harrison (Gary), brother-in-law Bo Bulloch (Linda) and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Omar Harold (O.H.) Britt and Inzie Mae Phillips; his sister Patricia Britt Bennett, his granddaughter, Grace Ann Britt and son-in-law, Michael Davis Williams. Born on May 27, 1938, W. H. was a lifelong resident of Gwinnett County. He loved his friends and community. In his early years, he owned and operated Britt Brothers, Inc. in Snellville alongside his father, uncle and cousins. At a time when Snellville was still a small town, Britt Brothers was a cornerstone business, providing furniture, appliances, flooring, and hardware to the growing community. After his father's retirement, W. H. pursued a successful career as a real estate broker, developing, managing, and owning residential and commercial properties. Faith was the foundation of W. H.'s life. He was married at First Baptist Church of Snellville where he also served as a deacon and Trustee. Later he helped establish Westside Baptist Church in Snellville. Most recently, he was a dedicated member and deacon at 1025 Church in Monroe, Georgia. In his younger years, he served as the Volunteer Fire Chief of Snellville, served in the Army Reserves and was a member of the Lions Club. He was a founding Director of Gwinnett County Bank. W. H. Britt will be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, a community leader, and a man devoted to his family, his church, and his community. He loved people and displayed kindness to everyone he encountered whether through business or pleasure. He leaves behind a strong legacy of hard work, kindness, devotion and faith.
Visitation and Memorial Services will be held at: 1025 Church 1025 East Spring Street Monroe, GA 770-266-1013 Sunday, September 21, 2025 Visitation: 2:00 – 4:00 pm Memorial Service 4:00 pm Brother Tommy Fountain officiating. A family Graveside Service will follow at Snellville Historical Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: 1025 Church 1025 East Spring Street Monroe, GA 30655
