William Elbert (Billy) Paden age 82 of Buford GA; passed away on February 27, 2022.  Billy was preceded in death by his wife Betty K. Paden, father "JB" John Paden, mother Ava Williams Paden, and brother Robert Paden.  Billy is survived by his step-sons Gene Davis of Commerce, GA, Wayne and Mellanie Davis of Dacula, GA, and his three grandchildren Erin (Gene) Brown, Nick Davis, and Brittany (Ryan) Powell, and 12 great-grandchildren. Billy was a member of Lifeway Church in Dacula GA.  Mr. Paden was a loyal servant to God his entire life.  Billy was formerly employed at GENESCO, Avon Co., and as a Cartoon Artist for the News Herald, and later the Gwinnett Daily News. A memorial service will be held on Saturday March 12, 2022 at 3:30 pm at Lifeway Church Dacula, Georgia with pastor Bruce Rhodes officiating
