Viola (Granny) Meeks age, 98 of Lawrenceville GA; passed away on Friday, March 24, 2023. Mrs. Meeks was born on October 2, 1924, in Tennessee to the late Lonnie & Lucille Kale Little. Mrs.Meeks was a member of the Dacula Church of God. Mrs. Meeks was preceded in death by her husband Burb James (BJ) Meeks.  She is survived by her children Carolyn Pealock, Jackkie & RJ Reynolds, Marolyn & Danny Stilwell, James & Linda Meeks, David & Betty Meeks, Dale Martin, Kathy & Dean Watson, Shirlene & Harry Freeman, Wayne & Lynda Meeks, Wendell & Mary Meeks, & Preston & Angela Meeks, 23 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren &  25 great-great-grandchildren, & a host extended family and friends.  Mrs. Meeks had a loving special friend that blessed her in song, and prayer, Opal Kitchens would call and check on her every night.  A celebration of Mrs. Meeks Life will be held on Monday, March 27, 2023, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Byrd & Flanigan Funeral Service Lawrenceville, with Pastor Steve Carrol & Pastor Matthew Watson officiating.  Interment will follow at Peachtree Road Baptist Church Cemetery in Suwanee GA.  The family will receive friends on Monday at the funeral home from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
