Valerie Feil Harvard, age 71, of Dacula, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2026. Valerie was born on April 7, 1955, in Atlanta, Georgia at the Crawford W. Long Memorial Hospital.
Valerie spent most of her life in ministry as a local pastor of the United Methodist Church. She cherished years ministering to families at Chamblee First UMC, Mt. Pisgah UMC, Embry Hills UMC and Covington Mill UMC. Upon retirement, she moved in with her family where her ministry shifted to loving on her grandchildren. In her later years, she enjoyed card making and connecting with friends through Bible studies. While her physical limitations prevented her from visiting others, she spent much of her time praying for and encouraging her many friends and family.
Valerie was preceded in death by her parents, Fred Feil and Virginia Townsend Feil. She is survived by her daughter and son- in-law, Nick & Ashley Kovac of Dacula; son and daughter-in-law, Andrew Harvard & Betsie Garner of Knoxville, TN; and grandchildren, Addisyn Kovac of Dacula, Charlotte Kovac of Dacula, Alexis Kovac of Dacula, and Rhett Kovac of Dacula.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 12, 2026, in the chapel at Hebron Baptist Church, Dacula, Georgia., with Dr. Landon Dowden officiating.
