Thelma Mae Rogers of Monroe,Georgia went home to be with the Lord on August 16, 2025. Born on September 28, 1937 in Hayesville, North Carolina. Thelma was a devoted and godly woman whose life beautifully reflected the love of Christ. She lived with deep humility, walked in peace, and shared her heart freely with everyone she encountered. Her love ran deep—for her family, her friends, and even strangers who quickly became friends. With a gentle spirit, a kind word, and a quiet strength, she uplifted those around her. A true peacemaker, Thelma, brought comfort, unity, and joy wherever she went. Her unwavering faith guided her every step and left a lasting impact on all who knew her.

Though she is now in the presence of the Lord, her legacy of love, humility, and peace will remain in our hearts forever.

Thelma married Carson Rogers on October 14th, 1961, and together they built a life centered on family and faith. She ran a loving in-home daycare for over 40 years, touching the lives of many children and their families with her nurturing spirit.

Her children lovingly remember her: Patricia Saltamacchio and Phillip Saltamacchio, Sonia Osner, and the late Elmer Osner Her grandchildren: The late Jeff Saltamacchio, Ryan Saltamacchio and his wife Heather Saltamacchio, Brittany Osner and her fiancé Dylan Hughes, Zachary Osner and his wife Taylor Osner, and great-grandchildren: Makayla Saltamacchio, Lauren Saltamacchio, and Haven Osner

Thelma's memory will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at Yellow River Baptist Church.

Service begins at 1:00 p.m. With Pastor Kevin Cresman & Mark Davis, the family will receive friends from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM, with the funeral service to follow.
