IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Terry
Streetman
February 24, 1975 – April 6, 2018
Terry Lee Streetman, 43, was born into this world fighting for his life. As a Preemie weighing just over two pounds , the doctors told his parents that he would not make it. But, God had other plans for him. He gave us 43 years with this incredible man. Terry was born in Rome, Georgia and graduated from Rockmart High School, class of 1995. He went on to Floyd College to study Literature and Education, but later became a Land Surveyor because of his love of the outdoors.
Terry met Karen in July of 2005, and the two were married on June 7, 2008. He was a devoted father to his two children whom he loved tremendously. Terry was witty, a creative writer and artist. He enjoyed making people laugh.
As his brother, Shane, recently remarked, "Terry was a collector of friends and memories rather than things". This could not describe him more accurately. He loved outdoor activities such as hiking, canoeing, and camping with family and friends and running around the back yard with the kids and dogs. He taught the kids to climb trees and love the outdoors as much as he did. He also loved to travel, and one of his favorite places was on the water in a canoe or on the beach.
On April 6, 2018, the Lord called Terry home after a long and hard fought battle with cancer. He will be missed by all of us whose hearts he touched in many ways. Terry is survived by this parents Jackie Ray and Robbie Jo Streetman, his brother Shane and sister in law Regina, niece Sammie, and nephew Eric. His wife Karen and their two children age 6 and 9 and a host of cousins, other family members, and many friends. Terry is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Ray and Joann Streetman and his maternal grandparents Millie and Alvin Tant of Rockmart, Georgia.
