Stephen S. Hewitt age 79 of Dacula, Ga passed away Saturday June 8, 2024. He was born August 5, 1944 in Mandeville, Manchester Jamaica, W I. The son of Stanley & May Hewitt who preceded him in death along with 3 brothers. Stephen attended Mayday and Bethabra Primary School. After leaving school he attended trade school to become an Automobile Mechanic. Before coming to the United States he worked at Central Motors then years later he started his own business. In 1999 he migrated to the United States and resided in Brooklyn, New York where he continued to work as an Automobile Mechanic. He moved to Georgia in 2006 where he continued to work in his trade. In January of 2022 he became ill with many hospitializations until June 8, 2024 he succumbed to his illnesses. He leaves behind his wife Pauline, daughters, sons, step children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives to mourn his loss. He had a cheerful and welcoming personality making his presence felt by all who knew him. He was loved and will be missed. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday June 28, 2024 from the chapel of Byrd and Flanigan Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Friday June 28, 2024 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at the funeral home.
