Auburn

Russ Street, 54 of Auburn, Ga passed away on May 8, 2026 and was surrounded by his family.

Russ was born on May 31, 1971 to Ronald Ted Street and Lovetta (Butler) Street. He was preceded in death by his father Ted Street and his in laws, Larry and Sharon Rose. Russ was a loving husband, dad, and Pappaw, his family meant everything to him! His greatest times were spent on many Gwinnett fields through the years helping coach his kids in football and lacrosse, not to mention cheering on his daughters’ cheer teams!! As his kids grew up he was always there with his love, guidance, and witty sense of humor, he loved “Dad jokes”!! Russ loved being Pappaw to his 3 grandchildren, and they loved nothing more than to ride in Pappaw’s Jeep and get treats! He loved going hiking with his wife, Karrie and spending time enjoying each other’s company now that they were “Empty Nesters”. Whether it was in the mountains, on the beach, a hiking trail, or just sitting in the backyard enjoying their favorite beer and listening to music! Russ had great peace and pleasure from the simplest of things as long as he could share it with his wife, kids and grandkids. He never met a stranger, always saw the good in people, and he touched many lives in such a positive way. Russ is gone, but his love and humor live on in each of us! Russ is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Karrie (Rose) Street, Auburn, Ga, daughter Victoria (Cam) Holbrook, Bethlehem, Ga, son Kyle (Karen) Street, Oakwood, Ga, daughter Sarah (Josh Haye) Street, Auburn, Ga. Grand children Rylan, Addilyn, Hayes Holbrook, Bethlehem, Ga. Mother Lovetta Street, Gainesville, Ga, brother Joe (Nikki) Street, Jasper, Ga, sister Rebecca (Jeff) Stepp, Flowery Branch, Ga, brother in law Craig (Alison) Rose, Akron, Oh. Also a niece and 3 nephews and numerous cousins. Our family would like to say thank you to all that reached out to our family, shared a story, provided a meal, gave beautiful flowers and a shoulder to cry on, your love and kindness has helped us through our most difficult time of living our lives without Russ. You have shown us that there is love all around us and it is a beautiful testament of how Russ impacted others. A celebration of life is being planned for Russ and details will be given as soon as possible.
