Robert (Bobby) Matthew Jay was born on July 8, 1968, in Atlanta, GA. He passed away at his home on November 21, 2024, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, John and Gloria Jay. Surviving him is his wife of 27 years, Michelle (Shelly) Jay, his two daughters, Amy and Alyssa (Ally) Jay, and his two brothers, John and Jeff Jay.

Bobby was an accomplished athlete who received scholarships for basketball and baseball, ultimately becoming a baseball player at Augusta University. Despite being an impressive college athlete, it was always clear that his greatest joy was being a husband to Shelly and a father to Amy and Ally. Bobby was a funny, loving, and joyful man who left a huge impact on those who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be greatly missed.

The funeral will be held on Friday December 6, 2024 at 1:00 PM, located at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 801 Tom Smith Road SW Lilburn GA. 30047.
