In Loving Memory of Richard Johnson

July 9, 1959 – December 19, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Richard Johnson, who departed this life on December 19, 2024, at the age of 65. Born on July 9, 1959 to the late Helen (Permenter) Johnson and Artist Johnson, Richard lived a life full of love, creativity, and dedication to his family and passions. Known to many as Full Tyme, Richard was an exceptional DJ who had an unparalleled love for music. His talent for connecting people through song brought joy to countless gatherings and celebrations.

Later in life Richard, in pursuit of his second passion, became the well-adored head chef at The Primrose School in Dunwoddy, Georgia, where he was affectionately known as "Chefy." His culinary skills and warm personality left a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Richard was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Brenda Johnson, with whom he shared 23 beautiful years of marriage and he was the loving father of Kendall Madden(deceased) and Ricky Madden. grandfather of a host of grandchildren who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Brenda Johnson, his son Ricky (Aquilla)Madden of Florida, his brother Craig Johnson of Brooklyn, NY, his sister Alisa Ortiz of Florida, his beloved Aunt Betty Cooper of Brooklyn NY, seven grandchildren, one great grandson and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who adored him. Richard's legacy of kindness, humor, and passion will remain with all who knew him. Rest in peace, Richard. Your light will shine on through all the lives you've touched.

Over the last 15 years, Chef Richard brought joy to our PSD community, not just through the delicious meals he lovingly prepared, but also through his kindness, humor, and unwavering dedication to our children and staff.
