Phyllis Jean Fox, 79, of Dawsonville, Georgia, passed away on 8-2-24 due to Covid complications. She was born in Tazewell County, Virginia, to James and Gladys Fox. There she learned the joy of living in a small-town farming community surrounded by love. The family later moved to Dade City, Florida, where she graduated from Pasco High School.

Phyllis loved to travel and lived in various parts of the US. She even added Las Vegas to her bucket list by working for a short time at the MGM Resort. Dogs were her passion and she adopted several through the years. She provided them with much affection and a loving home.

Phyllis is survived by her sister Christine Smith of Dawsonville and her brother Rufus Fox of Florida. She is also survived by many wonderful nieces, and nephews, but was especially close to Melissa Smith, Randy Smith, and Kevin Fox. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Jack and Charles (C.T.) Special thanks to Dawsonville Emergency Services, and the Byrd & Flanigan Funeral Home.
