Peggy Irene Deter age 81 of Dacula, Georgia passed away Monday October 7, 2024. She was born in Portsmouth, Virginia and met Paul, her husband of sixty-two years in Florida.  She loved serving her Lord and family but still found time to have a successful career in the insurance industry at Atlantic Mutual then Bituminous insurance companies.  She was a longtime member of Lawrenceville United Methodist Church and member of the Joy Sunday School Class.

She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Lucile & Mike Rom of Florida, sons & daughters-in-law Paul & Donna Deter of Maryland, Charles & Donna Deter of Snellville, Tim & Penny Deter of Dacula, Sam & Darla Deter of Branson, Missouri and grandchildren Heather Mashburn, Amber Meiser, Scott Deter, Chris Deter, Angela Frizzell, Kate Miles, Grace Deter, Rene Deter, Samuel Deter, Hannah Deter, and great grandchildren David Deter, T.J. Deter, Christian Hicks, Dehlia Deter, Krystal Deter, Elliott Deter, Evan Deter, and brother-in-law Ron Deter of Florida and sister-in-law Mary West of Ohio.

Visitation with the family will be held Friday evening October 18, 2024 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the funeral home.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday October 19, 2024 at Grace Baptist Church in Auburn, Georgia with Pastor Rob Ballard officiating.
