With the passing of Maureen Lloyd Beall on February 15, Athens lost an icon. Maureen supported Athen's burgeoning art scene and loved the ladies she was caring for. She was a lover of art and the art of friendships. She will be remembered and greatly missed.

Maureen is survived by: her sister Nancy Lloyd of Baltimore, MD; sister Sally Van Duyn and her spouse, Debra Irwin of La Grange, TX, nieces Kat Van Duyn of Austin, TX, and Emily Jennings Van Duyn and her husband, Jay Van Duyn Jennings of Champaign, IL; sister Meg Dominick and husband, Ned Dominick of Macon GA, nephew Gardner Dominick of Atlanta, GA, nephew Christian Dominick and wife Jessica Dominick and great nieces, Olivia and Eden Dominick of Atlanta, GA.
