IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mary J.
Vogt
March 19, 1925 – September 7, 2016
Mary J. Vogt 91, of Lawrenceville, GA went to join her Holy Father in heaven on September 7th, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband John Vincent Vogt, jr , of GA; her Sister Jeanne Pesaresi-Bisignano, & husband (Amedeo) of Florida, her brother, Valentino Pesaresi, & wife (Lena) also of Florida. She leaves to cherish her memory: her children, Veronica Vogt-Walters (James C.), John Vincent Vogt, III (Nancy), and Christine Vogt-Klimshuk (Matthew); a sister Gloria Pesaresi-Lombardo and a brother Victor Pesaresi (Julia); a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, dear friends; and her own beloved pets, Cocoa Puff and Chip, also multiple grand dogs and grand cats. Born in Coaldale PA, she moved to Pine Grove in Marlton, NJ where she met & married her husband John. After the births of their three children, they relocated in 1970, to DeKalb County & later, Gwinnett County, GA . Mary had a great passion in her life for God, music, gardening and animal rescue. She rescued 99 cats and 12 dogs for over 30 years with the help of generous, devoted friends and family, finding homes for all but a few, whom she either kept or maintained in an altered feral colony. Memorial Services will be held in celebration of her life on October 29, 2016, at 2:00 PM at Lawrenceville First Christian Church, 3495 Sugarloaf Pkwy, Lawrenceville, GA 30044 with a light reception with family and friends immediately following the service. Her ashes will be scattered in the lake at the His Last Days Drama site near Tallulah Falls, GA over the Labor Day weekend 2017 as requested along with a very informal short gathering. An ornamental plant will be planted in her honor at the 1 / 2 "Garden of Gethsemane Scene" area of the drama as well as at a memorial garden at the original location of the His Last Days Drama site. Mary requested that those in attendance at her memorial services wear "happy colors" to celebrate her life and joys. Her personal favorites were turquoise, blues, and greens, but she loved all "pretty" colors, especially flowers! Hawaiian shirts are acceptable at the services and "you can never have too much glitter". In lieu of flowers please consider donations to the following organizations: *His Last Days Passion Drama by Broken Vessels Ministries (tax deductible, identify donation for the Drama) www.brokenvess elsministries.org/event_date_time_&_det ails.htm *The Amazing Gracie Fund in her honor for injured and homeless animals through her own veterinarian, at www.Bestfriendvets.com *Cash donations as well as clothing and house hold items may also be made in her honor, to Furkids - https://furkids.org/resources, a local charity and thrift store (tax deductible).
