On February 21, 1950, in Minneapolis, MN, the Lord blessed Irma and George Green with a daughter, Mary. Mary was the youngest of six children. Mary graduated from Edison High School. She accepted Christ at an early age and attended Grace Temple Deliverance Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She later became of member of Living Word Christian Center in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota.

On August 16, 1969, Mary married the love of her life, Henry "Hank" Lumpkins. To this union, God blessed them with two beautiful daughters, Tiffany and Theresa. Mary was devoted to her family and loved spending time with her husband, daughters, and granddaughters, Amira and Kayla. She was a great cook and everyone loved her tuna salad, potato salad, and cherry cream cheese pie, just to name a few. Mary enjoyed fishing, playing cards, dominoes, going to church, and reading her bible. She was kind, loving, generous, and funny and became a mother figure to many of Tiffany and Theresa's friends throughout the years.

Mary was called home on October 16, 2025, at the age of 75 with her daughters and granddaughters by her side. Mary was preceded in death by her Husband: Henry Lumpkins, Mother: Irma Green, Father: George Green, two Sisters: Patty Jones and Kathy Nelson. She leaves to cherish her memories two Daughters: Tiffany Lumpkins and Theresa Lumpkins, one Brother: Art Green, two Sisters: Joanne Bailey and Donna Miller, two Granddaughters: Amira Sherrod and Kayla Daisy, and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Family, and Friends.
