Mary R. Bachmeier, 87, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2020. Mary was born September 8, 1932, to Antonio and Irene Archuleta in Alamosa, Colorado. In 1941 her family moved to Colorado Springs, where she lived until she moved to Georgia in 1990. Mary enjoyed spending time with her family and never passed up the opportunity to have lunch and a beer. She loved wrestling, fishing, the Denver Broncos, and Elvis Presley. Mary loved to go to the Goodwill and auctions with the hopes of finding a hidden treasure. She collected frogs, baby-dolls, and Elvis memorabilia. When you came to visit, Mary would greet you with a smile, and never let you leave her home empty-handed. She never said goodbye and always invited you back before you left. Mary is survived by her loving husband, Martin Bachmeier; her daughter, Cathy Gonzalez, five grandchildren, Velia, Ramon, Irene, Alicia, and Miguel, Seven great-grandchildren, Giselle, Tyler, Adrian, Skye, Samuel, Denise, and Alejandro, and one great-great-grandchild, Gionni. She had many nephews and nieces which she loved dearly.  Mary is preceded in death by her son Jose V. Gallegos, her parents, Antonio and Irene Archuleta, six siblings, John, Josephine Valdez, Andy, Ernie, Maes, and Joe. Mary was a small lady with a big heart. Her smile, her laugh, and sense of humor will be greatly missed. We will always carry your memory in our hearts. A celebration of life service will be held on Monday July 6, 2020 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Byrd and Flanigan Funeral Service Lawrenceville Ga.  The family will receive friends on Monday from 11:00 Am until service time.
