Marie "Ricxie" Flor passed away on August 23, 2026, at the age of 64, leaving behind a life defined by faith, kindness, family, and service to others.

Ricxie was a woman of deep Catholic faith. Her relationship with God was an important part of who she was and guided the way she lived her life and treated those around her. She possessed a gentle spirit, a patient heart, and a remarkable kindness. Those who knew Ricxie will remember her as someone who saw the best in people, was slow to anger, quick to forgive, and approached others with compassion and understanding.

For 30 years, Ricxie dedicated herself to public service through her career with the DeKalb County Probate Court. She retired in 2021 after many years of faithfully serving her community.

Above all else, Ricxie treasured her family. She leaves behind her loving husband, her three children, and three brothers, as well as extended family, dear friends, former colleagues, and the many people whose lives were touched by her warmth and gentle nature.

Ricxie will be remembered not simply for the years she lived, but for the way she lived them—with faith in God, devotion to her family, kindness toward others, and a heart that chose patience and forgiveness.

Her family finds comfort in the faith that sustained Ricxie throughout her life and in the promise that she has now been called home to God.
