IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Majorie (Patsy)
Klompe
May 14, 1944 – December 9, 2024
It is with great sadness we share the peaceful passing of Majorie Patricia (Patsy) Kelly Klompe on December 9, 2024, after a long battle with a chronic illness.
Patsy was born on May 14, 1944, in Atlanta Georgia. She passed at the age of 80 in Lawrenceville Georgia. Her father was Daniel Anthony Kelly, and her mother was Marjorie Gertrude Wade Kelly. She grew up in the Decatur area along with her brothers Daniel and Timothy. After high school at Saint Pius, she married Donald Lee Holbrook and had two sons with him, Robert Yancy Holbrook and Ronald Anthony Holbrook. She has four grandchildren: Robin Holbrook, Rebecca Holbrook, Katie Holbrook, and Peyton Holbrook. Her parents and her brother Daniel have all preceded her.
Later in life, Patsy divorced and then married Jan Klompe. She gained two sons from this marriage: Mark and John Klompe. All have passed before her.
Patsy started working early in life selling Avon. Later she began working for Miller's Office Supply Company in the Atlanta area. After working for Miller's for 15 years she and Jan moved to Indianapolis where she continued to work in retail at Cracker Barrel and the University of Indiana Hospital Gift Shop. In 2014 Jan passed and she moved back to the Atlanta area to live near her sons and their families.
Patsy never knew a stranger. She quickly became friends with whomever she met in life. She loved to garden and always loved her many cats and dogs. She was also involved with many charities that served Veterans and helped with the pet population and care. But mostly she was dedicated to her family whom she loved deeply. She will be sorely missed.
A celebration of life will be held at a later time.
