Madison Isabella Curtis, lovingly known as Madi, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2025, at the age of 18. Born on July 31, 2007, Madi was a bright light whose sweet and sassy spirit touched everyone who knew her.

Though non-verbal, Madi's expressive face and quick wit through her AAC device spoke volumes. She had an incredible way of making others smile with her laughter, her funny sayings, and the sparkle in her eyes. She loved hot dogs (especially Costco hot dogs), chocolate milk, music, babies, and people-watching. But her favorite sound of all was her daddy's voice — the moment she heard him come home, she would turn her head to see him and beam with joy.

Madi's joy was contagious — the snap of her fingers and clap of her hands invited everyone around her to join in a good old jam session. Her presence was pure love and light.

Madi is survived by her loving parents, Melvin and Anissa Curtis; her maternal grandparents, William and Gwenn Edwards; paternal grandmother, Naomi Curtis; her maternal uncle and aunt, Donnie and Amy Catlett; her maternal uncle, Angelo Edwards, her paternal aunt, Audrey Curtis; and her beloved cousins Ayriana, Anaiya, Andrew, Rylan, Deja, Aun'Dria, and Cairo.

There will not be a funeral service, but her family will hold a celebration of Madi's life at a later date to honor her beautiful spirit and the joy she brought to everyone she met.
