Lourdes Esther Santiago Bermejo, 62, passed away Monday, November 11, at North East Georgia Medical Center. Lourdes was born in Puerto Rico on July 19, 1957, to the late Luz Bermejo and Anacleto Santiago. Much of her upbringing is credited to the late Delfina Santiago, who she affectionately referred to as "mami." Lourdes was an abundance of fresh air. Her laughter and sense of humor were infectious. Wherever she went, she instilled a feeling of love and happiness. All who had the pleasure to meet her will forever miss her. She is survived by her children, Jose Luis Diaz, David Camacho, and Kristine Madonna Torres (Will), and granddaughter, Riley Arielle Splitt. In addition, she is survived by several brothers, sisters, and family members who reside in Puerto Rico and throughout the United States. Byrd and Flanigan Funeral Service has been entrusted with arrangements. The viewings and funeral service will be held at their chapel at 288 Hurricane Shoals Road NE, Lawrenceville, Georgia 30046. Viewings will be Wednesday, November 20, 4-8 pm and Thursday, November 21, 9 am - 12 pm. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, November 21, at 2 pm.
