Lois Nell Wood age 89 of Buford GA; passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2019. Mrs. Wood retired with 24 years of service from Scientific Atlanta, she enjoyed working in her garden, and she was the oldest living member of Woods Grove Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her parents Herbert & Ollie Thomason Marr, husband Vernon Dean Wood, son Wayne Wood, brother Billy Marr, sister Dot Barnett. Mrs. Wood is survived by her loving children Gayl & Bill Kirkpatrick of Hoschton GA; Shelia & Ronny Jackson of Auburn GA; Marilyn & Larry Goddard of Nicholson GA; sisters Louise & John Gibson of Lincolnton GA; Faye Jones of Athens GA; eleven grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, sister-in-law Marie Marr of Winder GA; & special friends & caregivers Calina Hut, & Lovelyn Bissiona. A celebration of life service will beheld on Saturday, April 27, 2019, at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Byrd & Flanigan Funeral Service Lawrenceville GA; with Rev. Charles Spruill officiating, interment will follow at Woods Grove Baptist Church Auburn GA.
