It is with great sadness that we inform you the passing away of Mr. Kumaraswamy Sadashiviah, lovingly called as "Kumara", at his residence in Atlanta, Georgia (USA) on Thursday, July 22, 2021. Kumaraswamy was born on Dec 30, 1962, in Lakkavalli, Shivamogga District, Karnataka State, India. He completed his Undergraduate Degree in Science and Post Graduate Studies in Computer Science from Bangalore University, India. After working in India for many years, he moved to USA and worked at various companies including McKesson as an Implementation Manager. Most recently he was working as Chief IT Engineer/Director of Cloud Services at Kaiser Permanente since 2015. As a long-time resident of Arizona, Kumaraswamy was a member of Kannada Sangha of Arizona, and served as President and Trustee of the Board. He was also a director and life member of the Phoenix-based Indo-American Cultural and Religious Foundation. He played an active and enthusiastic role in many aspects of the Indian community in Arizona, and was loved by all for his simplicity, helpful nature, and generosity. He and his family recently moved to Atlanta for work-related reasons. Kumaraswamy is survived by his wife Geetha Kumaraswamy, daughter Bhumika Kumaraswamy, son Rajeev Kumaraswamy and a large extended family in India. We pray for his soul to rest in peace. The funeral service will be on Thursday.
