Johnny Dale Godwin age 73 of Lawrenceville, GA passed away September 1, 2018. He was a beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather, An Avid Hunter, Fisherman and Outdoorsman, He was self employed as a crane operator for many years in Florida and had moved to Georgia in 1977, when he went to work for Rockwell/Boeing for 15 years helping to design the Hellfire Missile. He is survived by his Wife June Godwin of Lawrenceville, Son Johnny Godwin of Winder, Daughters Toni Carney of Cocoa, FL, Tammy White of Jacksonville, FL. Grandchildren Nick Marconi, Kenny Carney, Melissa Buchel, Tyler Carney, Jessica Marconi, Caleigh Godwin, Rachael Godwin. 7 Great Grandchildren, Brothers Carl J. Godwin of Inverness, FL, Ray Godwin of Merritt Island, FL, Sisters Jean Alvers of Central, SC, Mary Jones of Walhalla, SC. Visitation will be held Saturday September 8, 2018 from 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm at the funeral home with Memorial Services being held at 4:00 pm from the Chapel of Byrd and Flanigan Funeral Home with Ray Parker officiating.
