Joe Lynn Houston Jr. "Sam" of Loganville, GA, formerly of Dacula GA passed away on Monday, July 9, 2018. He graduated from Dacula High School in 1982.  He was employed with Techmer PM Dalton GA, as a Sales Tech. He was a member of Fergus Masonic Lodge #135 F&AM. He was raised as a Master Mason on August 4th 2011.

He enjoyed coaching his kids in sports and loved grilling with friends and family.  He was an avid Georgia Bulldog Fan.  He is survived by his wife of thirty-four years Gena Houston. Children, Joe Lynn Houston III of Loganville GA, Emily Marie Houston of Loganville GA, and James Michael of Loganville GA. Sister and Brother-in-law Stephanie and James Harness of Dacula, GA. Father-in-law and Mother-in-law Jim and Verlene Wood of Monroe, GA. Sister-in-Law and Brother-in-Law Tammy and Randy Garrison, of Monroe GA.  Sister-in-Law Jennifer Toache of Miami FL.  Several Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and a host of friends and family and his beloved Boxers, Vader and Zeus.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, July 12th at one o'clock in the afternoon in the Chapel of Byrd and Flanigan Funeral Home. Reverend Marvin Westbrook will officiate. Interment will follow at East Shadowlawn Memorial Gardens with Masonic Graveside service.  Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 11 from four o'clock to eight o'clock pm.  In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the local Children's Network Hospital, Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. 205 West 700 South Salt Lake City, Utah 84101.
