Obituary
Jo Ann Hammett age 73 of Auburn GA; passed away on Sunday, June 13, 2021. Mrs. Hammett was preceded in death by her husband Gene Hammett, parents George & Ida Medley Bowen, brothers Tommy Blankenship, & George Bowen Jr. Jo Ann is survived by daughters & sons-in-law Teresa & Ronnie Bunten, Gina & Rodney Hellemn, sisters Alice Bowen, Evon Kimbrel, Bernice Frederick, Jane & Tommy Simonton, Melissa Puckett, Gail & Leroy Cheatham, five grandchildren, & nine great-grandchildren. Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 12:30 PM at Gwinnett Memorial Park Lawrenceville GA; with Rev. Justin Twiggs officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM. ByrdandFlanigan.com
