Mr. Jimmy (Foots) Hammond passed away on April 29, 2023. Jimmy was born on November 30, 1956, to the late Deacon Joshua and Annie Ruth  Hammond. Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents Joshua (OK) and Annie Ruth Hammond, brothers Melvin Hammond, and Kenneth Hammond. Jimmy leaves to cherish loving memories, his loving wife Patricia Hammond, his sister Barbara Hammond, his brother Terry Hammond, five brothers-in-law, and three sisters-in-law. His children (step), Bridget Bryant, Cathy Bryant, Olivia Bryant, LaKessia Bryant, and Robert Bryant. Grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a very close friend Adolph Churchill, and a host of nieces, nephews, and many dear relatives and friends. Jimmy attended Hooper-Renwick School where he graduated in 1975.  Jimmy was a lifelong member of Raymond Hill Baptist Church in Loganville GA. Jimmy was a longtime employee of the Gwinnett County School system as an Environmental Specialist.  Having worked at Lilburn Elementary School in 1986, then Lilburn Middle School in 1987, after a twenty-three year career Jimmy retired in 2022 from Parkview High School. A celebration of Jimmy's life will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 11:00 am at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Lawrenceville. Interment will follow at Raymond Hill Baptist Church Loganville GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, May 5, 2023 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM and on Saturday at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
