Jimmie Roy Reddy passed away peacefully at his home in Madison, Georgia on Thursday July 24, 2025 surrounded by loved ones after a long and courageous battle through illness. He was generous and kind and a loving, husband, brother, father, and Poppy.

He is survived by his wife, Vivian Reddy; his son, Michael Reddy (Amy); his daughter, Amy Peek (Kevin); and his cherished grandchildren, Davis, Max, and Carson Peek. He is also survived by his stepdaughter, Kelley Joslin (Craig) and grandson, Britt Joslin; his two sisters, Vickie Roberts (Benny) and Diane Bowen; and a large extended family of nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

Jimmie Roy Reddy was born in Charleston, South Carolina, to James Hampton Reddy and Ruth Spain Reddy. Shortly after his birth, the family moved to Stone Mountain, Georgia, where he was raised on a successful pony farm that later became a thriving mobile home park. He graduated from South Gwinnett High School and, with the support of his father, went on to start his own pipeline construction business, which he ran successfully for over 30 years.

In his later years, Jimmie enjoyed golfing, caring for horses, and watching his grandchildren compete in their many athletic endeavors. Whether it was lacrosse, football, or anything else, rain or shine, he was always ready to support them. A lifelong golf enthusiast, he attended the Masters Tournament as a patron holder for 58 consecutive years. He also earned many accolades in the world of Tennessee Walking Horse shows. A true Southern gentleman, Jimmie made friends everywhere he went and will be missed greatly by all who knew him.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday July 27, 2025 from the chapel of Byrd & Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Kurt Wheeler officiating. Interment will follow at Corinth Cemetery with Rev. Paul Pittard officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday July 27, 2025 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
