Jerry "Jake" Marcus Robinson,  age 68 of Lawrenceville, GA, passed away on Monday,  August 15, 2016 Mr. Robinson was preceded in death by his parents Early A. Robinson and Essie Oliver Robinson, two brothers, & 4 sisters, and his beloved bird of 15 years Dolly that passed away 2 weeks ago.  He is survived by sister & brother-in-law Margaret & Gene Landress, of Bold Springs, GA; 6 nieces, 2 nephews, and several great nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Mr. Robinson was s a soft spoken gentle man, that spent his whole life taking care of others.  To his Nephew Stacy Jake was an uncle, second father, and grandfather all rolled into one.  Jake always made you feel welcome when you visited with him, even in his last days, he was concerned about the well being of others.  Jake was an avid fan of Country Music, and his favorite artists were Jim Reeves, and Don Gibson, he also enjoyed watching Cowboy movies.  The family would like to extend their thanks to Compassionate Care Hospice, for their caregiving for the past 3 weeks, and friends, neighbors, and relatives for stopping by to visit.  A Celebration of Jake's Life will be held on Friday August 19, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Byrd & Flanigan Crematory and Funeral Service with Pastor Janet Waters officiating. Interment will follow at Shadowlawn Cemetery in Lawrenceville.  The family will receive friends from 2:30 until time of service on Friday.  In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society 6500 Sugarloaf Pkwy Ste. 260 Duluth, GA  30097 In memory of Jerry Robinson.
