Jerry Flanigan age 77 of Winder, Georgia, passed away on Friday, August 8, 2025.  Jerry was born on April 22, 1948 in Hoschton, GA (The Hog Mountain Community).  He was a 1966 graduate of North Gwinnett High School. Jerry retired after 36 years of service from the General Motors Assembly Plant in Doraville, GA.  Jerry was preceded in death by his parents: Eurskin and Idean (Buice) Flanigan; brothers: Odell Flanigan, Woodrow Flanigan, Randall Flanigan, Harold Flanigan, and 2 infant brothers; aunt Bertha C. Flanigan, nephews Timothy Massey, Ken Flanigan, father-in-law and mother-in-law: Emory and Ruby McHugh; brothers-in-law: Larry McHugh, Wayne McHugh, Emory "Butch" McHugh and sister-in-law, Linda McHugh, and niece Teri Cochran. He was a Baptist minister and had a radio ministry in Lawrenceville and Winder. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Naomi Ruth (McHugh) Flanigan of Winder; daughter, Debra (Michael) Landress of Winder, grandchildren: Joshua (Megan) Landress of Winder, Michelle Landress of Winder; great-grandchildren: Madilyn Landress and Mason Landress of Winder, Logan Dowdy of Winder; brothers and sisters-in-law: Roy (Elaine) Flanigan of Buford, Junior (Sharon) Flanigan of Buford, George (Isabel) Flanigan of Dacula, sister and brother-in-law, Mary (Tim) Massey of Hoschton, sisters-in-law, Ida Flanigan of Hoschton, Kathy Flanigan of Lawrenceville, and Judy McHugh of Greensboro, and a host of nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Byrd & Flanigan Funeral Service, Lawrenceville GA. with Rev. Jonathan Flanigan officiating. Interment will follow at Duncan Creek Congregational Church Cemetery, Buford, GA.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12:00 pm until the time of the service.
